Description
We need a Warehouse Helper for our company. This position involves various tasks related to receiving, storing, and shipping goods and materials. Responsibilities:Receiving and Unloading: Receive incoming shipments, inspect items for damage, and verify quantities against shipping documents. Unload goods from trucks and ensure proper storage. Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tracking and updating stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and reporting to supervisors. Storage and Shelving: Safely store products in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring that items are organized, labeled, and accessible. Order Picking and Packing: Assist in fulfilling customer orders by picking items from shelves or bins, packing them securely, and preparing them for shipping. Material Handling: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and transport goods within the warehouse. Shipping and Dispatch: Prepare items for outbound shipping, including labeling, packaging, and arranging transportation. Generate shipping labels and documentation. Quality Control: Inspect products for damages or defects and report any issues to supervisors. Ensure that the quality standards are maintained in storage and handling. Cleaning and Organization: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping, removing debris, and maintaining clear pathways for safe movement. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling materials, operating equipment, and working in the warehouse. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, receipts, and shipments. Assist Team: Collaborate with warehouse team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure efficient warehouse operations. Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is a plus but not always required for entry-level positions. Physical fitness to lift and carry heavy items, as well as stand, bend, and move for extended periods. Basic math and computer skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Dependable and punctual. May require the ability to operate warehouse equipment (training may be provided on the job).
