Key Responsibilities:Cargo Handling: Receive, inspect, and process incoming and outgoing cargo shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Documentation: Prepare and verify shipping documents, including air waybills, bills of lading, and customs declarations, ensuring compliance with regulations. Inventory Management: Monitor and track inventory levels, coordinate cargo storage, and ensure timely dispatch and delivery of shipments. Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients, airlines, shipping companies, and customs authorities to resolve issues, provide updates, and ensure smooth cargo operations. Cargo Security: Implement security measures to safeguard cargo against theft, damage, and tampering during storage and transportation. Compliance: Stay updated with local and international regulations governing cargo handling, customs procedures, and transportation standards. Requirements:Previous experience as a Cargo Agent or in a similar role within the logistics or freight industry. Knowledge of cargo handling procedures, customs regulations, and shipping documentation. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing cargo paperwork and inventory records. Proficiency in using cargo management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
