Description
LOGISTICS CO-ORDINATOR – Offshore Oil & Gas IndustryROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:KNOWLEDGE OF FREIGHT PROCEDURES / UAE SHIPPING LAWS/ UPTODATE CUSTOMS REGULATIONS/ CLEARING AND FORWARDING/ HANDLING DUTY EXEMPT SHIPMENTS ETC. • Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs) to Freight Forwarders. • Coordinate with supplier and freight forwarders for clarifications. • Issue Service Orders to Freight Forwarder to process shipment. • Ensure smooth movement of goods from supplier premises to Company sites as required. • Review Transportation Documents prepared by Vendors and Freight Forwarders. • Ensure timely delivery of goods to Company. • Coordinate with Customs Authorities for clearance of goods. • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless logistics operations • Keep logs and records of executed orders etc. • Inter-Departmental coordination/expediting. • Must be a team player who can support the various Procurement activities not limited to Logistics. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:• Candidate should have a basic degree or a bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field • Candidate should have minimum 1-2 years of UAE experience in logistics coordination or a similar role. • Good interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in English • Strong computer skills in MS Office applications.
