Description
Job Title: School Bus AttendantJob Type: Full TimePosition Overview: We are currently seeking a responsible and compassionate School Bus Attendant to accompany students with special needs on their daily bus routes. The School Bus Attendant will assist students with boarding and disembarking the bus, ensure their safety during transit, and maintain a positive and supportive environment. Responsibilities: Assist students with special needs as they board and disembark the school bus Ensure students are seated safely and securely during transit Monitor student behavior and address any issues or concerns that arise Provide assistance to students with mobility challenges or other special requirements Communicate effectively with bus drivers, school staff, and parents/guardians Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of students Maintain a clean and orderly bus environmentQualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred Compassionate and patient demeanor Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations Physical ability to assist students with boarding and disembarking the bus CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Benefits: Competitive hourly wage Flexible scheduling Opportunities for additional training and professional development Rewarding work environment making a difference in students’ lives
