Description
Job Summary: The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment in residential or commercial properties. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring that all areas are well-kept and meeting the specific standards set by the employer. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities:Cleaning Duties:Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings. Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces. Wash and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and bathtubs. Laundry Services:Wash, dry, and fold laundry. Iron and press clothing and linens. Change bed linens and make beds. Kitchen Duties:Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, appliances, and utensils. Wash dishes and load/unload the dishwasher. Dispose of garbage and recycle as required. General Housekeeping:Organize and tidy rooms, ensuring a neat appearance. Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and cleaning products. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate person. Special Tasks:Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed, such as carpet cleaning or window washing. Assist with organizing and decluttering as requested. Prepare rooms for guests, including arranging flowers or setting out fresh towels. Customer Service:Respond to client or employer requests promptly and courteously. Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy of clients and residents. Deliver excellent service to enhance client satisfaction. Qualifications and Skills:Previous experience as a housekeeper or in a similar role. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items if necessary. Basic English communication skills; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
